It does what I need from a recipe program

I don’t disagree there are some issues, but to me they’re minor, if not insignificant. I use it solely on my MacBook, so am unconcerned about device-syncing or Cloud access.

CONS:
The software tries, though not especially successfully, to automatically double or halve a selected recipe, so I handle that on my own, entering the recipe in the amoiunt I expect to be using it. Error messages aren’t all that helpful -- but other than leaving a line out of an import, they haven’t slowed me down. Editing an existing recipe seems to respond weirdly until you realize that it takes an unexpected number of sucessive carriage returns to move from edit / input / add a line modes.

PROS:
The SW is great at importing recipes that already exist in an electronic format — you just get it copied to the Clipboard, click Import, and then draw a multiple borders in the displayed text identifying each part as ‘Ingredients, ‘Description, ‘Yield, etc. You can then edit to fill in any remaining fields.

I use the 10-foot display all the time in the kitchen. It a large white-on-black font that you can read fom across the room as you’re assembling or cooking.

Search function is useful for gathering together all the recipes that call for an ingredient, in case the name starts with something like “Savory” or “Skillet” that gets lost when looking at an alphabetical list.
